From our talented medical team through to administration staff and translators, our amazing volunteers make all of this possible.

For many Timor-Leste Hearts Fund patients, the trip to Australia for surgery is their first overseas experience. A friendly face at the airport or someone to show them around Melbourne or Sydney makes their experience less stressful. Volunteers assist us with activities such as transporting and supporting patients during their stay. If you can speak Tetum we would especially love to hear from you.

Our volunteers also travel with our volunteer medical team to Timor-Leste to assist with our screening clinics, undertaking tasks including administration and interpreting.
