In July 2024 our team visited the cardiac clinic at Hospital Nacional Guido Valadares – HNGV. Our Co-Founder and volunteer cardiologist – Dr Noel Bayley, and Cardiac Program Coordinator – Ricky Flavio, assisted local cardiologists as they assessed patients.
During the visit Dr Bayley conducted training with cardiology staff on how to use a cardiac pacemaker programmer to monitor patients with pacemakers. He also distributed donated stethoscopes to staff. A big thank you to South West Healthcare ICU for donating the stethoscopes, and Biotronik and Medtronic for donating the cardiac pacemaker programmers to the hospital. The Intensive Care Unit and Cardiac Care Unit are delighted to have the equipment.
